Rockford Christian avenged an earlier season loss to Mendota by clipping the Trojans, 2-1, in the semifinal-round on April 14 at the MHS field.

The Trojans took a 1-0 lead in the first period on a successful penalty kick by Diaz, but that turned out to be the only goal they scored. Rockford Christian tied the game later in the first half, and then tallied the only goal in the second half to earn a trip to the championship game.

Trejo had another stellar performance in goal with the shutout.
