LA MOILLE - Raymond D. Schallhorn, 84, of LaMoille, passed away Feb. 15, 2020 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Mendota.
According to his wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru.
Raymond was born Nov. 2, 1935 in Spring Valley to Fred and Margaret (Atherton) Schallhorn. He married Rheta Haefner on Nov. 20, 1955 at Clarion Lutheran Church, LaMoille.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Anita Geiger of LaMoille; one son, Dean (Mary) Schallhorn of LaMoille; one daughter-in-law, Eva Schallhorn of Schaumburg; six grandchildren, Dave (Janelle) Geiger of LaMoille, Heather (Greg) Sherman of Tonica, Cory (Laura Netzer) Schallhorn of Aurora, Colo., Michelle Schallhorn of Tyler, Texas, Nicole (Mark) Hampton of Albuquerque, N.M. and Emily Schallhorn of Schaumburg; six great-grandchildren, Owen and Cassidy Geiger of LaMoille, Avery and Mason Sherman of Tonica, William Schallhorn of Aurora, Colo. and Jane Hampton of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Janice Chaon of Markesan, Wis. and Louise Keutzer of Arlington; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Glen Schallhorn; one son-in-law, Daniel Geiger; three sisters and three brothers.
Raymond was a 1953 graduate of LaMoille High School. He was a life-long farmer and a member of Clarion Lutheran Church, LaMoille.
