PAW PAW - The Paw Paw Village Board met on Jan. 13. With the region having reached “Tier 2” in COVID-19 restrictions, Senior Bingo and exercise will be able to resume with masks and social distancing. Exercise will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 25 and Senior Bingo will resume on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m.
The Paw Paw Public Library has been selected for a grant from the American Library Association for a new initiative: “Libraries Transforming Communities: Focus on Small and Rural Libraries.” Head librarian, Barbara Zeman, intends to buy a pre-programed computer, which is a learning device that encourages children to read and learn. Focusing on library and community engagement, she will collaborate with the school for the betterment of the community, focusing on our youth. Zeman will attend several webinars, take six E-courses, and meet with some local school personnel.
Board member Kristie Romanski has resigned. There are three 4-year positions available and one two-year unexpired term open in the coming April election.
