MENDOTA - Nora M. Prather, 63, of Mendota passed away Feb. 25, 2020 at her home.
Services will be held at noon on Saturday, Feb. 29 at the Wasmer Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Hogun Kim officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
Nora was born March 31, 1956 in Chicago to George and Mary (Frenden) Dul.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald “Jerry” of Mendota; one daughter, Candy Bloome of Poplar Grove; one son, Joe Bloome of Villa Park; two stepchildren, Joel (Tammy) Prather and Rachel (Jamie) Boles; five grandchildren, Amber and Christopher Bloome, Cassandra and Vanessa Sotello, and Marye Bloome; and four step-grandchildren, Jude Prather and Noah, Audrey and Mason Boles.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Nora graduated from Montini High School in Lombard in 1974. During her work career, she was a bookkeeping manager for Elm Lawn Cemetery in Elmhurst. On April 26, 1991, she married Gerald A. Prather in Elmhurst. She was a lover of all things “Tigger,” deer, The Monkees and Elvis.
