MENDOTA – The Mendota High School Board of Education will have an opening for one vacant board seat.
Any individuals who would be interested in filling this position should send a letter of interest to: Jim Lauer, Mendota High School, 2300 W. Main St., Mendota, IL 61342 or e-mail: jlauer@mendotahs.org. Deadline for submitting a letter of interest is Wednesday, May 5. The candidate selected to fill this vacancy will serve on the board until the April 2023 school board election.
At a minimum, a candidate must meet the following qualifications: be a United States citizen, be at least 18 years old, be a resident of Illinois and the district for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment, be a registered voter, not be a child sex offender, not hold another incompatible public office, not have a prohibited interest in any contract with the district, not be a school trustee, and not hold certain types of prohibited state or federal employment.
