Mendota blood drive collects 60 good units

MENDOTA – The American Red Cross held a blood drive on Sept. 20 at the Mendota Moose Family Center. There were 60 good units collected. There were 47 whole blood and 13 double red cell donations. Your time and donation are greatly appreciated.

Volunteers for the day were Kristi Carroll, Paddy Schwemlein, Margy Frey, Peg Mathesius-Cerveny and Lori Schlesinger. Mendota Subway once again donated sandwiches for the luncheon and the Rotary Club also sponsored egg salad sandwiches, BBQ, and chips for the drive. Desserts were furnished by Paddy Schwemlein, Margy Frey, Leann O’Brien, Marlene Simonton and Kristi Carroll.

The next bloodmobile will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at the Mendota Moose Family Center.  If you would like to make an appointment or have questions, please call Lori at 815-866-3582
