MENDOTA - Anita C. Cenkar, 92, of Mendota passed away Feb. 21, 2021 at OSF Saint Paul Medical Center Mendota.
Graveside services will be private due to COVID-19. Wasmer Funeral Home is privileged to assist the family.
Anita was born Dec. 13, 1928 in Oglesby to Edward and Anna (Crowley) Brown. She married William Cenkar on June 22, 1946 in Oglesby at the Oglesby Union Church. He preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 2015.
Survivors include one grandson, Scott Cenkar of Rolling Meadows; one great-granddaughter, Ember Cenkar; and one daughter-in-law, Judith (Adam) Smith of Eugene, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Scott on Nov. 8, 1988.
Anita was a secretary for Northbrook School District 289 until her retirement. She was a member of the Classic Thunderbird Club International.
