MENDOTA – Frances Donohue, 94, of Mendota died Sept. 16, 2013 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 21 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Jeff Schlesinger officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Dixon. Visitation will be for one hour prior to services on Sept. 21 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Donohue was born Oct. 2, 1917 in White Pigeon, Mich. to S.W. and Louise (Oaks) Naylor. She married J. Corbus Hoffman in November of 1938. He preceded her in death in 1964. She married Peter J. Donohue on Nov. 18, 1972. He preceded her in death in February of 2007.
Survivors include one daughter, Diane (Norman) Schlesinger of Plano, one son, John (Sandra) Hoffman of Raleigh, N.C.; one stepdaughter, Carol (Jeff) Horan of Goodyear, Ariz.; one stepson, Eugene (Jeanette) Donohue of Sarasota, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands and two brothers.
Mrs. Donohue was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mendota. She was a graduate of Dixon High School.
