SUBLETTE - Sharon A. Pry, 61, of Sublette died Feb. 23, 2013 at her residence.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 1 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Sublette with Rev. Max Lasrado officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Sublette. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church on March 1. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Ms. Pry was born Nov. 22, 1951 in Mendota to Floyd “Tug” and Sally (Becker) Pry.
Survivors include her mother of Sublette; one sister, Ruth Ann Payne of Schaumburg; one brother, Stan (Darlene) Pry of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two nieces; one nephew; three great nieces; and two great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father on July 31, 1997 and a brother-in-law, Jim Payne in 2007.
Ms. Pry was a 1970 graduate of Amboy High School and was employed by Heico and Del Monte in assembly. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, where she served as church organist and choir member. She was also a member of Sublette Country Squares for 15 years entertaining groups at community events and nursing homes. She sponsored a boy from Guatemala through the Christian Foundation of Children. Her goal as a volunteer was to offer happiness and maintain dignity worldwide. She enjoyed traveling to see extended family and doing family genealogy. She also raised awareness and funds for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
