Mendota FFA competes in Parliamentary Procedure & Speech Contests

MENDOTA - On Jan. 9, members of the Mendota FFA Chapter competed in the Section 7 Parliamentary Procedure and Speech Career Development Events (CDEs). The events were held at Seneca High School with six different FFA chapters attending.



Members of the MHS parliamentary procedure team include Britney Hahn (chairperson), Taylor Hahn (secretary), Brittany Stewart, Brett Becker, Kaylee Althaus, and April Ohst. Individuals competing in the speech contest were Genna Pattermann (Creed), Britney Hahn (Prepared), and April Ohst (Extemporaneous).



The Parliamentary Procedure CDE is a contest that increases a member’s ability to conduct and efficiently run a business meeting using parliamentary law. Placing individually were Britney Hahn (2nd Chairman), Taylor Hahn (2nd Secretary and 5th floor member), Kaylee Athaus (1st place floor member), Brett Becker (2nd place floor member), April Ohst (3rd place floor member), and Brittany (4th place floor member). The team will compete in the district contest on Feb. 13 at Joliet Junior College.
