WIU announces graduates
MACOMB/MOLINE - Andrew Davis of LaMoille was among more than 1,000 students who earned academic degrees after the 2012 fall semester at Western Illinois University. Davis, a cum laude graduate (3.6 to 3.74 GPA), earned a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement & Justice Administration.
SIU releases deansí list
CARBONDALE - Southern Illinois University Carbondale named 3,384 students to its fall semester deans' list. These students make up 24 percent of the University's undergraduate student body. Included are local students Danika Mulcahy of Paw Paw and Sarah Fassig and Daniel Widolff, both of West Brooklyn.
Deans' list recognition goes to students who compile grade point averages that meet or exceed performance standards set by SIU Carbondale's schools and colleges. The minimum standards vary by college and range from 3.25 to 3.75 on a scale of 4.0 (perfect).
Area student named to Eureka deanís list
EUREKA Ė Aubrey Molln of Lamoille is included on the Eureka College deanís list for the 2012-13 fall semester. To be eligible, full-time students must maintain a grade point average of least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
J. Tellez on Lewis University dean's list
ROMEOVILLE - Julieth Tellez of Mendota was among those honored on the Lewis University deans' list for fall semester 2012. Tellez is studying athletic training at Lewis University.
To be eligible for this honor, students must have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours of credit with a grade point average of 3.25 out of a possible 4.0.
