Earle R. Boner

FAIRFIELD GLADE, Tenn. - Earle R. Boner, 82, of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., died Jan. 29, 2013 at Good Samaritanís in Fairfield Glade, in the care of hospice.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Feb. 2 at United Methodist Church, Fairfield Glade, Tenn. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Crossville, Tenn., handled the arrangements.
Mr. Boner was born Nov. 26, 1930 in Sherman to Flora (Mills) and Martin L. Boner. He married Nell Bennett on Dec. 27, 1952 in Athens. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Kirby (Suzanne) Boner of Tampa, Fla. and Martin (Connie) Boner of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Kelly (Michael) Conrad of Metamora; six grandsons, Patrick (Mafe) of Washington, D.C., Mitchell (Jacqueline) of Orlando, Fla., Vassili of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Matthew, Kyle, and Kirby Conrad of Metamora; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; two brothers, John and Kenneth; and two sisters, Marguerite and Eloise.
Mr. Boner attended Fancy Creek School and Williamsville High School, graduating in 1948. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and attended Illinois State University upon discharge from the military. After teaching for two years in LeRoy, he taught in the Mendota elementary school system for 31 years. After retiring in 1992, he moved to Fairfield Glade, where he was active in numerous music activities, many of them involving the choir at the United Methodist Church, where he was an active member.
