EARLVILLE - Bettyann Marks, 92, of Earlville died Jan. 15, 2013 at Mendota Community Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 19 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Earlville with Rev. Tammy Anderson officiating. Burial was at Precinct Cemetery, rural Earlville. Visitation was from 10-11 a.m. on Jan. 19 at the church. Arrangements were entrusted to Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville.

Mrs. Marks was born Dec. 16, 1920 in Surprise, Neb. to Harold and Vivian (Lett) Shrader. She married Edward N. Buffington in 1942. Later, she married Edgar Marks in 1955.

Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy (Richard) Riva of Earlville, Donna (Curtis) Imel of Ottawa and Wendy (Kevin) Eames of Ottawa; two sons, Gary (Janice) Buffington of Earlville and Slam (Melissa) Buffington of Denton, Texas; 22 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one brother, Don (Phyllis) Shrader of Lincoln, Neb.; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Robert "Chip" Hughes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husbands; two sons, Lance Marks and Jon Buffington; two brothers, Bob and Dick Shrader; and one great grandson.

Mrs. Marks was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Earlville. Before retiring she sold Avon, worked at G.E., was a waitress and babysat for several families in the area.
