MENDOTA - Due to the increased numbers of patients with respiratory infections seen at Mendota Community Hospital and widespread flu activity, the hospital is asking for the publicís cooperation in limiting visits to patients at the hospital.
Please consider carefully the following symptoms before visiting a patient at MCH. Do you have a fever, cough or any other cold or flu symptom? If so, it may be best to postpone your visit. At this time visitors should be 18 years of age or older and only two visitors per patient will be allowed at any time.
Please plan visits accordingly. These temporary restrictions result from a recommendation from the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
MCH appreciates your cooperation. If you have any questions, please contact the hospital at (815) 539-7461.
PERU - Because of widespread influenza activity, Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru is limiting patient visitation privileges. Effective immediately, no one under the age of 18 will be allowed to visit patients at IVCH and patients will be allowed only two visitors at any one time.
IVCH is also requesting that people who are ill with respiratory symptoms not visit or wear a mask if they must visit.
The Illinois Department of Public Health says influenza activity continues to increase in the United States with widespread activity reported in Illinois.
