OTTAWA - The La Salle County Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service will hold a review and exam session for any person interested in receiving their Amateur Radio Technician or General license. "With amateur radio, you can talk with friends across town or around the world," said Fred Moore, deputy director of the La Salle County Emergency Management Agency.
The class runs from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the LaSalle County Emergency Management Agency, 711 E. Etna Road, Ottawa. Class size is limited to the first 40 registrants. Everyone who pre-registers will receive study guides to assist them in successfully passing the licensing exam. There is no fee to attend the class, but participants who take the final exam should be prepared to pay a $15 fee.
