Helen J. Faulk

MENDOTA - Helen J. Faulk, 90, of Stonecroft Village, Mendota died Dec. 19, 2012 at Mendota Community Hospital.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 22 at First Presbyterian Church, Mendota with Rev. David Tellinghuisen officiating. Visitation was for one hour prior to services at the church. Burial was at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Funeral arrangements were provided by the Merritt Funeral Home.
Mrs. Faulk was born March 16, 1922 in Athens, Ill. to Fred and Bertha (Hoos) VanMeter. She married Dr. Elliott Faulk on Oct. 4, 1943 in Chicago. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Survivors include one son Dr. David (Ellen) Faulk of Somonauk; two daughters, Arlene Faulk of Chicago and Carol Senneff of Ann Arbor, Mich.; four grandchildren, Joanne Faulk, David S. Faulk, Steven Senneff and Stacy Senneff; and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Allen; and one sister, Eleanor.
Mrs. Faulk was a graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelorís degree in education. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and on the church Session, Home Extension and PEO. She was also a past board member of the Mendota Area Christian Food Pantry and Graves-Hume Public Library.
