OGLESBY - Kathleen Lynn Walter, 53, of Oglesby died Nov. 30, 2012 at her residence with her family by her side.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 5 at the United Church of Christ (UCC) in Granville. Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 4 at the Dysart Ė Cofoid Funeral Chapel in Granville. Cremation rites were accorded.

Mrs. Walter was born Jan 14, 1959 to Wayne and Betty Washkowiak.

Survivors include her husband Gerald; one daughter, Dani (Ryley Bunzell) Zellmer; one grandson, Joey Bunzell; her father, Wayne (Vicki) Washkowiak; two brothers, Mike (Cindy) Washkowiak and Chris Washkowiak; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death her mother and one sister, Melanie Beckerleg.

Mrs. Walter was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Henry, where she taught Sunday school, was in the choir and served on many committees. She was a member of the PCEF Board and served on the special events and scholarship committees that served the students of Putnam County schools. She regularly shared her considerable musical and theatrical talents at numerous PCEF shows, served on the board for River Valley Players and Mr. Manahanís Summer Playhouse, where she also shared musical and acting talents. She managed the One Hour National Drycleaners for many years, worked as a CNA and loved to paint. She was also manager and part owner of the Menís Emporium in LaSalle. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a true friend to many, many people. Every life she touched was with love and kindness; she made this world a better place in which to live.

Memorials may be made to the donorís choice.
