City Council hires new Civic Center executive director

MENDOTA - The Mendota City Council approved the hiring of a new executive director for the Mendota Civic Center and handled other items of business at its Dec. 3 regular meeting.

Joanie Nichols will take over the duties as Civic Center executive director after she was introduced to the council by Mayor David Boelk. Nichols is a resident of Seatonville. She comes to the Civic Center after most recently having served as advertising director at the Bureau County Republican in Princeton for the past seven years.
