Eighty-eight year old Pat Syskowski, affectionately known as G.G., visits Cammie Henkel’s first grade classroom, Nov. 26. “I love it. These are wonderful children,” she said of Henkel’s students. She volunteers her time every Monday to offer guidance to the young learners and assistance to Henkel. “The kids adore her,” stated Henkel. In the next room is the school’s speech therapist, Karen Goy. She noticed the room abuzz with activity one day and inquired about the special guest. “G.G.’s a living reminder that the giving of our time and attention is a priceless gift we can offer at any age,” she said.
