MENDOTA - On Oct. 26, Britton Kaiser and Jared Allen, two members of the Mendota FFA Chapter, were recognized for their outstanding dedication and excellence throughout their years in FFA.

The American FFA Degree is the highest degree members can receive during their years of membership in the National FFA Organization.

Kaiser and Allen were recognized on stage during the last session of the 85th National FFA Convention. The Mendota FFA Chapter is proud of the accomplishments of these two outstanding members.

The American FFA Degree recognizes demonstrated leadership ability and outstanding achievements in agricultural business, production, processing or service programs.

To be eligible, members must have earned and productively invested $7,500 through a supervised agricultural experience (SAE) program in which they start, own or hold a professional position in an existing agriculture enterprise; serve 50 community service hours around the community; and maintain a high scholastic record. Recipients must also make it their mission to demonstrate outstanding leadership abilities and community involvement.

Each award recipient will receive a Gold American FFA Degree key, and a certificate in a blue leatherette frame.
