Laura Ruppert

MENDOTA - Laura Ruppert, 82, of Mendota died Oct. 9, 2012 at Mendota Community Hospital.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 15 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mendota with Rev. Dale Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, LaSalle. Visitation is from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.

Mrs. Ruppert was born Feb. 3, 1930 in Ottawa to George and Mabel (Wallace) Scott. She married Donald L. Ruppert on Feb. 14, 1954. He preceded her in death in May 1997.

Survivors include one son, Donald (Karen) Ruppert of Mendota, and three grandsons, Brock, Adam and Ian.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Doreen; one brother; and one sister.

Mrs. Ruppert attended Ottawa High School and was employed by WalMart in Peru prior to retirement. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mendota.
