LA SALLE - Director Joseph Ennenbach will hold auditions on Nov. 2 and 3 for Stage 212ís upcoming production of ďA Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the ForumĒ by Stephen Sondheim, Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart. The musical comedy, a spoof of Ancient Rome, will be the opening production of Stage 212ís 2013 season and be performed the weekends of Jan. 25-27 and Feb. 1-3.
Auditions take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2 and at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3 at the theater, 700 First St., LaSalle. Ennenbach and music director/choreographer Deana Brown will cast a minimum of nine men and nine women of college age or older. Auditioners are asked to prepare 16 bars of a song of their choice.

Rehearsals will be three nights a week into January and then more frequently approaching the opening.
Co-Producers Natalie Smigel and Tracy Daugherty are also seeking crew members for support and backstage positions. Those interested should also call the box office.
Stage 212 auditions are open to all regardless of prior theatrical experience.
