Eleanor M. Loch

LA SALLE - Eleanor M. “Maggie” Loch, 91, of LaSalle, formerly of Peru, died Nov. 2, 2013 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 5 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Peru followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, Peru with Rev. Gregory Jarzombek, OSB officiating. Entombment was at the Shrine of Memories Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in LaSalle. Visitation was from 9-11 a.m. on Nov. 5 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Loch was born April 10, 1922 in LaSalle to Paul and Theresa (Bydalek) Wrona. She married Leonard “Moe” Loch on Oct. 9, 1937 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1997.
Survivors include four daughters, Dolores (George) Bowers of Gilbert, Ariz., Mary Zakrzeski of Peru, Carol (Richard) Mathey of Peru and Barbara Guglielmetti of LaSalle; one son, Charles (Joan) Loch of LaSalle; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and two sisters.
Mrs Loch was a terrific homemaker. She also worked at Westclox and Electric Utilities. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Peru where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society and the Tuesday Sewing Club. She was also a member of the Ladies of Charity at St. Patrick’s Church in LaSalle. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and gardening with a love for violets. She loved to go shopping and to yard sales and loved when family and friends came to visit.
