Lois M. Stamberger

MENDOTA - Lois M. Stamberger, 89, of Mendota died April 29, 2013 at the Mendota Lutheran Home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 2 at St. Johnís Lutheran Church, Mendota with Rev. Dale Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Mrs. Stamberger was born Jan. 27, 1924 in Sublette to Byron and Olive (Reisinger) Motter. She married Melvin J. Borelli on May 22, 1943. He preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 1963. She married Richard Stamberger on June 22, 1970. He preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1996.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia (Ken) Becker of Mendota; six sons, James (Karn) Borelli of Franklin, Wis., Donald (Kathryn) Borelli of Mendota, Mark (Robin) Borelli of Mishawaka, Ind., Rick (Connie) Borelli of Mendota, Garry (Rita) Borelli of Mendota and Larry (Kerri) Borelli of La Salle; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; three sisters, Hazel, Mildred and Betty; and one brother, Harold.
Mrs. Stamberger was a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church and the Navy Motherís Club. She was employed by Conkeyís during World War II and later by Wayside Press in Mendota. Before her retirement, she worked in the produce department of Mendota Food Center.
