ARROWSMITH - Scott Thompson, 41, of Arrowsmith died Nov. 30, 2012 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal, after an extended illness.
Funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. on Dec. 5 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Colfax with Rev. Carl LoPresti officiating. Cremation was accorded following the services. Visitation was from 3-8 p.m. Dec. 4 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax.
Mr. Thompson was born Jan. 15, 1971 in Princeton to Roger and Kathy Doran Weitzel. He married Andrea Morman on March 23, 1996 in Princeton.
Survivors include his wife; two children, Katherine and Nathaniel, both at home; his parents, Roger and Kathy Weitzel of Mendota; his grandparents, Oneida Doran and Frieda Weitzel, both of Mendota, Gladys Bickett of Princeton and Virginia Anderson of Sheffield; one sister, Tina (Rick) Stevenson of Mendota; his mother and fathers-in-law, Gene and Yvonne Morman and Barbara (David Dzurisin) Morman, both of Princeton; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Morman of Princeton and Diane (Kent) Beyer of Davenport, Iowa; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Thompson last worked for Vostermans Ventilation in Bloomington and was a part-time EMT for the Hudson Fire Department. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Colfax, the Arrowsmith Fire Department where he was the captain of Truck 180, and was an EMT with Eastern McLean County Ambulance Association.
