Albert J. Veverka

Albert J. Veverka, 73, of Sublette died Dec. 5, 2010 at his home.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 10 beginning with prayers at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort at 10:15 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. Visitation will be from 3–9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9 at the chapel.
Mr. Veverka was born in Chicago to John and Sylvia (Suchan) Veverka. He married Elaine Feliksik.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tim (Vicky) and Jeff (Kelle); two daughters, Cheryl (Alan) Zawislak and Jennifer (John) Okrzesik; eight grandchildren, Eric and Paige Zawislak, John Jr., Elizabeth, David and Michael Okrzesik, and Arielle and Aidan Veverka; and one brother, Philip (Irene) Veverka.
Mr. Veverka was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War. He was a retired air traffic controller for the Chicago Center in Aurora and lived in Sublette for the past 41 years.
