William F. “Bill” Zolper, 61, of Mendota died March 6, 2010 in Mendota with his family at his side.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on March 10 at Holy Cross Church, Mendota with Rev. Gary Blake officiating. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation was from 4-7 p.m. on March 9 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with a 3:30 p.m. rosary.
Pallbearers were Nick and Shane Zolper, Jim Wade, Tom Carr, Bill Landers and Chad Vander Meersch.
Mr. Zolper was born March 3, 1949 in Aurora to Henry “Bud” and Mary (Landers) Zolper. He married Kandy Dana on May 10, 1969 in Holy Cross Church, Mendota.
Survivors include his wife of Mendota; one son, Willie Zolper of Mendota; two daughters, Tina (Lance) Musgrove of Mendota and Lisa Zolper of Ladd; two grandsons, Taylor Klatt and Madrick Musgrove; and one brother, Hank (Gloria) Zolper of Grafton, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Zolper was sole owner of Complete Builders where he worked as a carpenter and contractor. He served with the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a member of Holy Cross Church, Mendota Elks Lodge 1212, Mendota Golf Club and was past president of the Waltham Curling Club. He was an avid golfer and fisherman who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
