Schwemleins mark golden anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Lois) Schwemlein

Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Lois) Schwemlein of Mendota celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 19.

Richard and the former Lois Henkel were married Jan. 19, 1963 at Holy Cross Church in Mendota. The late Msgr. Wissing officiated. The maid of honor was Lois’ sister, Shirley Dallmier and the best man was Richard’s brother, Henry Schwemlein.

They are the parents of four children, Rodney of Mendota, Lisa (Ron) Clauson of Mackinaw, Duane (Natalie) of Highland, Ind., and Steven (Tracy) of Mendota.

They have 11 grandchildren and four great-grand children.

Richard is employed at HCC and Lois was employed at RR Donnelley until their closure.

The couple resides at 4371 E. 250th Rd., Mendota.
