OREGON – Mendota Lady Trojan cross country runner Emily Ross had her season come to an end at the Oregon Class 1A Sectional on Nov. 2.
Ross finished in 103rd place out of 156 runners with a time of 23:02.
The overall individual champion was Kelsey Hildreth of Byron with a time of 18:29.
Kewanee Wethersfield captured the team title.
For the boys, T.J Pitcock of Byron crossed the finish line first in a time of 16:01, while Winnebago claimed the team championship.
The state meet will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Detweiler Park in Peoria. Action will begin with the girls’ Class 1A race at 9 a.m.
