Mendota opened the wrestling season with a triangular meet at Rockford Lutheran, also including Polo, on Nov. 19. The Trojans were beaten by Lutheran, 63-12, and lost to Polo, 44-12.
Trevor Todd had a pin for the Trojans in 23 seconds over his Polo opponent in the 285-pound category, while T.J. Christmann won by forfeit.

MHS hosted Amboy and Seneca on Nov. 20 at the MHS gym.
The Trojans fell to Amboy, 50-12, with Christmann pinning his opponent in 3:24 at 138 pounds and Todd pinning his foe in 11 seconds at 285.
The Trojans were blanked by Seneca, 67-0.
The Trojans competed against Rock Falls and Durand on Nov. 24 at Rock Falls. MHS lost to the host Rockets, 54-12, with Ethan Wade (170) and Jake Spanier (182) picking up forfeit victories.
Mendota fell to Durand, 72-6. Spanier pinned his opponent for MHS's lone victory.
