MENDOTA - The Mendota Lady Trojan tennis team finished in a fourth-place tie in its own Tom Corrigan Invitational Tournament on Oct. 6 at the MHS courts.
Princeton won the top spot with 30 points, followed by Sterling Newman (24), Rockford Lutheran (19), and Mendota and Coal City (18). Rounding out the field were St. Bede (15), Kewanee (13) and Country Day (7).
In No. 1 singles, Mendota's Michaela DeLong finished in fourth place.
Asia Robinson of Mendota captured third-place honors at No. 2 singles.
In doubles action, Mendota's No. 1 team of Kady Halbmaier and Brandy Mellott finished in sixth place.
The Lady Trojans' No. 2 doubles team of Mary Brandner-Tiffany Newell claimed fifth place.
