Stillman Valley tops MHS soccer

MENDOTA - Stillman Valley outdueled Mendota, 3-1, in varsity boys' soccer action on Sept. 26 at the MHS Athletic Complex.

Mendota's lone goal came in the first half off the foot of Rafael Maldonado. The assist went to Nick Phalen.

Davy Arteaga had 15 goalie saves.

The visitors also best the Trojans in the junior varsity contest, 2-1. Omar Bugarin tallied Mendota's goal, assisted by Cody Husband.
