Mendota’s sophomore boys’ basketball team absorbed a 73-31 loss to IVC in NCIC Lincoln action on Jan. 29 at Chillicothe.

The Trojans (9-9, 1-6) fell behind 20-9 after one quarter and trailed 37-17 at halftime. The home team really poured it on in the third frame, outscoring Mendota 27-6.

Omy Garza had nine points to pace the Trojans, while Ryan Dornink added seven points.
