MENDOTA – The Mendota City Council approved several budgets for the new fiscal year at its May 20 regular meeting. Walt Weiland was elected mayor pro-tem in Mayor David Boelk's absence.
The General Fund expense budget was approved at $5,196,506. Combined with projected revenue, the budget would run slightly in the red by about $150,000.
Other expense budgets approved were the Water ($1,174,303), Sewer ($1,587,389) and Civic Center ($380,050). The FY 14 TIF budgets were also approved.
